Custom Castings is looking for a Maintenance Mechanic/Millwright, a motivated individual who will work independently and with other plant personnel to perform preventative, predictive and routine maintenance tasks. They will troubleshoot issues, repair failures of production and facilities equipment such as hydraulics, melting furnaces, machinery, cranes, casting equipment, hand tools, power tools, and hydraulic cylinders ; and ensure maximum equipment efficiency and effectiveness. All tasks will be performed while supporting the policies, goals and objectives of the company. Responsibilities/Duties: Detect and troubleshoot irregularities and malfunctions of equipment. Repair or replace defective machinery parts. Perform routine maintenance work on machinery. Troubleshoot and repair CNC machinery. Perform work order repairs, inspections and adjustments. Maintenance and fabrication welding Maintain facilities. Clearly communicate with peers and other departments to ensure that priority jobs are completed on time. Respond promptly and appropriately to plant emergency and breakdown situations. Requirements: Understanding of hydraulics and pneumatics, and all of the components involved in these processes such as; valves, cylinders, pumps and compressors an asset. Millwright ticket an asset. Must be able to work Nights and Weekends if needed.
