Home: Southbridge Lakehead Location: Thunder Bay, ON Job Role: Scheduler - Temp Full Time Southbridge Care Homes are currently looking to add one caring, passionate, and enthusiastic Nursing Scheduler Temporary FT to our amazing home family, who can serve our lovely residents, to keep them safe, healthy, and happy. On a daily basis, reporting to the Director of Care, our Nursing Scheduler at Southbridge Lakehead will enhance the effective management and performs administrative duties, reception operations and scheduling duties within the Nursing Department. As a Nursing Scheduler, you will be accountable for: To prepare and post the Nursing Department schedules as per contracts; prepare, post and maintain the daily nursing schedule, including making calls to staff; Answering incoming telephone calls, take and relay messages; perform filing assignments for the Administrative department; Input changes to the staff schedules daily and present them to DOC for approval; perform various clerical duties and prepare reports as required; maintain or assist in maintenance of resident records and files; To answer absentee calls, identify replacement staff, and track and record all occurrences; To prepare daily assignment sheets and record daily nursing hours; to maintain records of hires, terminations, leave of absences, job positing’s, etc; To maintain a current & detailed list of seniority; to post vacant positions; to award positions for Nursing department according to contract, in conjunction with DOC; To interpret collective agreement for clarification purposes; To act as PHIA Privacy Officer in conjunction with the Social Worker; to promote a culture of safety in the work environment by adhering to the Workplace Safety and Health Program; To uphold and promote the organization’s values and philosophy relating particularly to ethics, morality, and integrity.
