The Position: As the Manufacturing Engineering Intern, you will be joining a dynamic, multi-disciplined environment as part of the Guelph Manufacturing Team, supporting water and wastewater treatment systems development and design. In this role, you will have an opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals within the field of mechanical, electrical and controls engineering. You will gain exposure supporting the engineering team and assist the greater organization in achieving its goals and objectives as an active participant. This position is based in Guelph, ON Responsibilities: Providing engineering and technical support to operations by identifying potential cost savings. Analysing current processes and delivering options for improved methods to current manufacturing practices. Assist with implementing Kaizen events, cycle time reductions, set up reductions and pull systems resulting in scrap reduction and work in process reduction. Planning and executing specific material handling/process improvement projects to reduce scrap. Assist with Developing documentation, gauging methods, improving tooling, making suggestions for improved WIP flow in support of new and existing processes and equipment. Participating in technical meetings as requested with the purpose of providing resolutions to problematic processes. Help Preparing Standard Work Instructions and Total Productive Maintenance checklists and conducted training for maintenance/operations. Visit ListedBuy for more information.
