We need a Charge Nurse to join our team at Sycamorespring Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation in Miamisburg, OH . $22 To $35 Per Hour ( Up To $48.00 with Shift Differential) The Charge Nurse is to assist the Nursing supervisor in the responsibility for the total patient care within the nursing unit, and the management of the unit. You’ll Be Responsible For: Administrative & patient care Supervising & overseeing STNA’s Ensuring personnel, medical staff, patients & the public abide by departmental policies Working on the unit designated by the D.O.N., A.D.O.N, or Supervisor Checking 24-hour report sheet for changes/updates in patient care needs Making walking rounds, supervising N.A. care Administering medication (including IV) & treatment per Physician’s orders Attempting to meet the spiritual & psychological needs of patients with the resources available Assisting with & directing the patient admission/discharge process Giving & receiving reports with oncoming staff at the beginning & change of shift Taking and transcribing physician orders Answering telephone inquiries Evaluating patient care needs/condition while developing & adding to existing individual plans of care Handling patient admission process in the absence of the documentation nurse verifying physician orders transcribing pre-admission information arranging diagnostic & therapeutic needs inside & outside of the facility ordering medication/treatment communicating patient needs to dietary completing necessary admission paperwork Transferring & discharging patients arranging transportation communicating with family/responsible party completing appropriate paperwork Maintaining appropriate documentation in the patient electronic medical record Directing & assisting with cleaning & care of equipment/appliances Communicating with all departments Overall safety & cleanliness of the unit Greeting & directing visitors to the unit You’ll Need To Have: A valid nursing license in the state of Ohio Met the required continuing education hours per licensure period Good physical & mental health A positive attitude & a passion for working with the elderly Willingness to perform non-professional duties A level-head to take or give direction in an emergency situation Willingness to place patient needs above your own Willingness to advocate for patient wellbeing We’re Proud To Offer You: Paid Time Off Paid Training Health Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance Disability Insurance 401K with Employer Match Flexible Schedule Education Scholarships Continuing Education Credits Employee Discounts Exceptional Care & Quality Service are the hallmarks of Sycamorespring's in-house team of talented and experienced licensed therapists, nurses and caregivers .
