The client is offering a full time, temporary position on an ongoing basis with the ideal candidate having experience of working within a local authority within a commercial environment. The Role Key purpose of the role is the delivery of the Council’s high-profile building safety, decency and compliance programmes investing in existing homes over the next 12-month period, to a value of circa £50-£60m million. Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to: manage their workload and support and motivate colleagues to deliver high quality outcomes. work closely with both internal and external stakeholders and external organisations. have extensive experience in negotiating and drafting construction works and services contracts and be familiar with contractual clauses. have experience of delivering procurements within the scope of Public Contract Regulations and public sector procurement governance structures are integral to this role. The Candidate To be considered for this role you will require a relevant degree and / or full membership of the RICS or equivalent. The below skills would be essential for the role: Experience in all aspects of the public procurement / tendering process including- Produces and determines contract specifications; Experience of reviewing contracts and their management Able To Demonstrate Knowledge and Understanding Of Procurement Techniques Incl: Contract Drafting,.
