Job Opportunity: IT Network & Security Engineer Pay Rate: £17.82 per hour Are you an experienced IT professional with a passion for network and security technologies We are seeking a skilled IT Network & Security Engineer to join our team and play a pivotal role in managing and enhancing our ICT network and security infrastructure. Key Responsibilities: Manage all aspects and components of the ICT network and security technologies, including WAN, LAN, Firewalls, IP telephony, and Wireless solutions. Conduct research and development to stay current with evolving network and security trends. Provide third line support functions and escalations for problem tickets raised from our service desk and second line support teams. Implement and maintain security measures for all IT systems and networks in alignment with the IT strategy and security policies. Manage endpoint protection and anti-virus solutions, security and compliance policies, and PKI infrastructure. Assist in coordinating annual penetration testing against force systems and networks. Collaborate with vendors and third-party support teams to resolve issues and implement solutions efficiently, both remotely and on-site. Work closely with internal teams, including security analysts and server team, to implement solutions and explore new technologies for the benefit of the Force. Skills/Experience Required: CCNA or equivalent certification. Proficiency with Cisco ASA firewalls FTD firewalls desirable. Familiarity with Cisco ACI Desirable. Qualifications: Demonstrable experience in managing network and security technologies. Proven ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently. Strong communication.
