Business Development Manager, £37,750 plus package (27 days holiday + bank hols, 8% pension contribution, health insurance etc) Our client, a venerable and charitable organisation with extensive office, learning, conference and events facilities in central London, is recruiting a Business Development Manager (BDM). The BDM is tasked with maximizing events, conference and meetings enquiries and generating leads and sales within the corporate market place, whilst adhering to company policies and values. You will be contributing to the venue's quality, guest satisfaction and profit level. A snapshot of some of the responsibilities and requirements; Maintain regular contact with key accounts to maximise revenue for the venue keeping accurate information on clients' business needs and trends. To develop business from all sectors and maintain ongoing co-ordination with all the sales team to ensure successful operation. To develop a group of key corporate accounts and maintain ongoing co-ordination with all the sales team to ensure successful operation. To manage and develop the Company sales database To develop specific, beneficial relationships with event agencies To utilise the Venue Performance information to drive enquiries and sales To undertake competitor analysis twice annually or as required. Research and identify new sources of business via telephone sales, market research, in-house sales, direct mail, cold calling etc. To submit weekly reports on sales highlights, sales activities and provisional business. To pro-actively source and report competitors and events industry information to assist in long and short term planning. To organise and attend networking events whenever necessary PERSON SPECIFICATION Strong valueinteractionperience in a similar MICE industry business development / sales role Minimum 3 years events and meeting sales experience The use of CRM systems for client prospecting, lead generation and selling Conference and hospitality.
