Senior Information Officer – Liverpool Temp Vacancy Umbrella Pay Rate: £24.88ph Full-Time 37 hours Job Purpose: To oversee and provide technical support in the administration of the City Council’s Information Governance obligations under the provisions of the Data Protection Act 2018, Freedom of Information Act 2000 and Regulation of Investigatory Powers Act 2000. To be accountable for the delivery of robust, high quality, effective and accountable information governance and schools support services under supervision by the Head of Service Accountabilities: To lead on the delivery of technical and legal support services for schools across Liverpool and the City Region under formal Service Level Agreements. To assist the Head of Service in provision of technical and advice in respect of the City Council’s Information Governance systems to ensure the ongoing development of policy and compliance frameworks, including support to third party organisations. To lead on the co-ordination, delivery and monitoring of information governance services to Liverpool and City Region schools under Service Level Agreement frameworks. To support third party organisations and schools through the provision of training, support and technical guidance as required by the contractual commitments of the Information Team. To undertake a process of continuous review and work with the Head of Service to review and improve the discharge of information governance functions by the City Council. To support the Head of Service in the development and ongoing review of the City Council’s Publication Scheme, Corporate Requests Management Guidance and Corporate Requests Appeal Processes. To support the Head of Service in the management, oversight and provision of advice in respect of the City Council’s Information Governance arrangements including compliance with the Data Protection Act 2018, Freedom of Information Act 2000, Environment Information Regulations requests and Regulation.
