You miss 100% of the jobs you don't apply forVolt is immediately hiring for Multi Axis Lead Machinist in Buellton, CA.Great Company Culture | High Pay/Competitive PayAs a Machinist you will: * Lead/Coach/Train/Develop/Mentor machinist/operators and cross trains current employees on operations, set-ups, and procedures; assures proper and complete knowledge of such training is signed off. * Highly advanced and skilled machinist. Go-to machinist for tight tolerance, high risk aerospace machining. * Support team with 1st Article runs, Inspection with Aerospace grade materials and Aerospace standards. * Manage set-up, operation, and trouble shooting of a cell of CNC machines. * Coordinates daily production needs that address safety, quality and productivity. * Programming support in Esprit * Experience with Multi Spindle, Multi Turret CNC machines. * Experience using live tooling. * Low volume and high product mix production. * Create corrective action plans for quality spills, knowledge gaps, or any mishaps in assigned cells. Make recommendations for improvements. * Communicates with the team, engineering, and management. * Performs other duties as assigned.This is a Full Time, Direct Hire opportunity.The ideal candidate will have: * 15+ years of CNC machine experience, majority in aerospace is required * 5+ years multi axis machining * 5+ years swiss or B axis machining * Must be an Expert in Lathe CNC Setup and Machining, little to no help needed * Experience working in a job shop manufacturing environment * Knowledge of blueprint reading, GD&T, SPC, mechanical inspection methods * Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills * Macros and probing plusSalary: $100K - $200K per year*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.Qualified candidates should APPLY NOW for immediate consideration!
