Our people make the difference. Are you looking to support the backbone of the Hot Mills by ensuring manufacturing continuity? Can you demonstrate an attention to detail? What you will do Hot Rolled Products Port Talbot is the UK's leading supplier of Hot rolled coil, with up to 83,000 Tonnes of slab a week, processed to various thickness and grades for hundreds of different customers all over the world. Steel slab is reduced to coil and either sent direct to customers or for downstream processing through a highly complex and high speed rolling mill with a customer base from tin cans for packaging to major vehicle manufacturers like jaguar/Landrover, Nissan and JCB. The Hot Mills as a diverse area, working on a range of projects from large gear box rebuilds, hydraulics and pneumatics, as well as participating in upcoming future upgrade projects within the business. As a Mechanical Craft Team member the successful applicant will support the Mechanical Inspectors by performing preventative maintenance and inspection work whilst providing expertise and resource to identify and rectify faults in complex systems to ensure manufacturing continuity. As a Mechanical Craft Team Member, you will be responsible for ensuring all activity is undertaken within Health, Safety and Environmental requirements and in compliance with company and legislative requirements. You will work as part of a team to ensure engineering performance on an ongoing basis, support engineering development plans and identify opportunities for improvement.
