We are looking for enthusiastic, dynamic and motivated Band 6 Physiotherapists to join the Stroke Team in a hospital setting in the heart of Kent, with easy links from London and the Kent coast Main duties of the job To provide a high standard of Physiotherapy Service to In: patients on the Stroke wards and Neurology outlier patients, to include backssment, advice, treatment and patient management. Stroke services have recently undergone some service re: design resulting in off: site Rehabilitation beds and an ESD team We also have a Neurology outliers service which you may be asked to cover. To contribute to service development and on occasions lead on particular service development initiative. To provide peer support including teaching within the physiotherapy service. Person Specification Qualifications Essential Diploma / degree in physiotherapy Evidence of CPD maintained in a portfolio including attendance at recent postgraduate courses relevant to the clinical field Desirable Membership of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy Involvement in CSP Special Clinical Interest Group Experience Essential Experience of working as part of a physiotherapy team and/or multidisciplinary team Student or physiotherapy assistant supervision Contribution to clinical education of less experienced staff or students or assistants Evidence of an active interest in the area of Neurology Desirable Experience of the working with stroke patients, general rehabilitation, Respiratory, Musculoskeletal Out Patients Orthopaedics Knowledge of the workings of community physiotherapy services and intermediate care services Involvement in audit, research and understanding quality issues Knowledge Essential Remain updated with professional practice and new research Desirable Competent IT skills Skills and attributes Essential Able to present information, written and orally, in a clear and logical manner Ability to organise, prioritise and delegate Ability to cope.
