We are seeking a motivated and results-oriented Senior Dev Ops Engineer to join our client’s team. Our client is a ‘pure play’ specialist provider of aggregated, structured regulatory information using deep tech to generate rich metadata from regulatory content for use in applications managing regulatory risk. Key Responsibilities You’re conscientious and proactive, paying attention to detail and mitigating difficulties before they become issues You’ll have several years of experience operating production infrastructure in the cloud, ideally on AWS You know your way around a Kubernetes cluster, with a history of maintaining production workloads and writing Helm charts to deploy applications Can write your own code, e. g. as tooling to solve specific problems or a personal project. We don’t expect a fully-fledged programmer but there’s a ‘dev’ in Dev Ops. You’re used to working on sizeable architectures in an infrastructure-as-code paradigm, knowing the pitfalls and how to work around them. Bonus points if you can show us a Terraform module you’ve written, or better yet a provider. You know infrastructure doesn’t exist in isolation – although a discipline of its own it needs to serve the wider organisation. You are comfortable working cross-functionally and often advocate for better tools or processes You see documentation as a first-class product of the job. There’s little point in building something if others can’t use it without our help. You’re outcome-orientated. You’ll take satisfaction from seeing the results of your work in the hands of internal stakeholders and external users. You’ll get to work on wide-ranging areas – anything from debugging Python to recommending high-throughput AWS architectures for ML and batch processing You’ll work cross-functionally, joining daily stand-ups with representatives from software, data science, web crawling, and quality assurance teams You’ll plan & execute maintenance tasks such as upgrading our EKS.
