Jonathan Lee Recruitment is helping a collaborative company recruit an AD Physical Integration Engineer based in the UK , and the role comes with an attractive salary and benefits package. As an AD Physical Integration Engineer, you will be working within the Exterior Trim Team, building good relationships with parallel Engineering Functions, Design and Studio Engineering, Key Business Stakeholders, internal and external Subject Matter Experts, Business Analysts, Functional Consultants, and Project Managers. You will also present to Senior Leadership within the organization. During your first few weeks in this AD Physical Integration Engineer role, you can expect to work on some of the following: Work hand in hand with the AD team, CAD development of the systems and hardware required to robustly integrate the Autonomous Driving System into the vehicle from concept to engineering drawing release Lead the data management of the virtual Bo M for the relevant CAD parts and Assemblies in collaboration with the PLM team Ensure data transfer and 3D/2D drawing release deadlines are met and aligned to programme and build timing. for this Physical Integration Engineer role, you will need a Mechanical Engineering Degree (or equivalent) and an expert understanding of Exterior Trim technologies, including materials, pressings, surface finish (texture), surface treatment (painting/plating), secondary processes, injection moulding, compression forming, vac forming, RRIM, assembly, welding/bonding and other joining methods. You will also require: Understanding of vehicle package and component integration Min 10 years of experience in automotive body/trim engineering Expert user of computer: aided design software, Siemens NX preferable If youre looking to impact and create change positively, youll be rewarded with an excellent salary and benefits.
