As one of the largest care home providers in the UK, our Learning and Development team are essential to the continuous expansion of Avery Care Homes. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a National Essential Training Manager, to design, deliver and evolve the companies L&D portfolio. This will be a field-based role with travel and occasional overnight stay as the job requires. The National Essential Training Manager will be responsible for leading a team of clinical and non-clinical Regional Training officers and L&D administration team. They will deliver the L&D strategy and be instrumental in supporting the homes training compliance. Salary: £45,000 to £52,000 per annum Depending on experience. Role Overview Directly Manage the Learning & Development team, administrators, and Nurse clinical trainers Work in partnership with Managers and Directors across the organisation to understand the development needs of all staff and proactively deliver a schedule of innovative learning solutions to support these needs. Lead an annual planning, design, delivery, and evaluation process to maintain and update Averys portfolio, ensuring the version control and shared training drive is kept up to date. Assist with Clinical Nurse delivery and newly qualified nurse mentorship training. Oversee the planning of new service inductions, ensuring other support teams are allocated to ensure Averys high standards of training are met. Build effective and constructive relationships with company staff and work effectively with other members of the Avery Healthcare support functions. Manage the performance of the Regional Training officers, including Training observations, Supervisions, and performance reviews. Forward plan and book all Regional Training officers’ meetings. Be proactive in advising the regional Training Officers on moving and handling issues. Fully induct new General managers and Deputies on the company training systems. Please note: This is not.
