Job Description: As a Teaching Assistant specializing in supporting children with severe autism, your role will be both rewarding and challenging. You will have the opportunity to: Foster Meaningful Connections: Build strong bonds with autistic children, understanding their unique needs and creating a safe and supportive space for them to learn and grow. Support Learning: Assist teachers in implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) and provide one: on: one support to children with autism in various classroom activities. Promote Inclusivity: Embrace diversity and promote an inclusive classroom environment, ensuring that all students have the opportunity to participate and succeed. Collaborate: Work closely with a dedicated team of educators, therapists, and specialists to provide holistic support to each child. Requirements: To excel in this role, you should possess: Empathy and Patience: A deep understanding of the challenges faced by children with severe autism and the patience to provide consistent support. Strong Communication: Effective communication skills to collaborate with both students and colleagues. Knowledge: A background in special education or relevant experience working with SEN children is a plus. Certification: Appropriate teaching assistant or SEN qualifications preferred.
