Key Responsibilities: Support the Health and Safety Manager: Assist the Health and Safety Manager in promoting a positive health and safety culture throughout the organization and in supporting the work of the Health & Safety Team. Employee Responsibility: Assist all employees in taking responsibility for health and safety issues for the employees they manage. Commitment to Council's Vision: Embrace and work within the Council's Vision and core values. Health and Safety Operation: Be responsible for the operation of health, safety, and welfare systems in accordance with the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974. Cost Management: Collaborate with the Health and Safety Manager to ensure that costs are managed efficiently within the prescribed budget. Innovation: Generate ideas and identify innovative approaches to enhance the provision of Health and Safety Services, focusing on key areas such as fire safety, construction safety, and asbestos safety. Employee Support: Create an open environment within the Service Unit where employees feel supported, involved, and consulted. Project Support: Assist on specific projects as needed.
