Job Title: Community and Family Inclusion Lead (DDSL)Location: Hillingdon Manor School, Uxbridge Salary: £27,000 to £32,000 per annum dependent on experience Hours: 38.5 hours per week; Monday to Friday Contract: Term Time + 3 weeks (1 week Easter, 2 weeks Summer)As part of our continued growth, we now have a fantastic opportunity for a Community and Family Inclusion Lead to join our close-knit team at Hillingdon Manor School in Uxbridge. If you are looking to join a dedicated team in a school that will welcome your ideas and forward-thinking to create a positive learning environment for young people, we would like to hear from you. About the role To be the first referral point for pastoral issues concerning students referred to you, supporting students with both reactionary and proactive interventions to support them to engage them in school including employing strategies to support school avoiders. To be a key member of the safeguarding team including the DSL during extra-curricular residentials and during Easter and Summer respite. To co-ordinate the controls and monitoring of the attendance of pupils and to be the key contact to families which are hard to reach and have low attendance. Key Tasks and Responsibilities: Demonstrate a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of pupils, ensuring that pupil wellbeing is the focus of all actions undertaken in the role. To greet students during morning tutor time, monitoring attendance and other issues that may arise. Raise any concerns regarding pupils’ attendance and the support they receive with the relevant subject leads and department lead and where necessary to the Educational Welfare Officer. Refer pupil wellbeing concerns to the appropriate external agencies, as appropriate. Follow up concerns and provide individual support for pupils including home visits.
