Location: Preston Job roles/responsibilities: To be responsible for the day-to-day responsive repair works, statutory compliance, minor projects and planned works to all the buildings within the Police and Crime Commissioner’s property portfolio, ensuring that all buildings are safe, well maintained and fully compliant for staff and visitors. Provide expert advice on building maintenance and construction matters. Establish and manage efficient processes for responsive maintenance services. Plan, design, and coordinate minor refurbishment projects. Manage annual spending forecasts using cost-effective techniques. Ensure compliance with financial regulations and control expenditures. Create project documents for maintenance and construction projects, meeting legal and safety requirements. Manage projects as a Project Manager, overseeing work quality and safety. Conduct property condition surveys and prioritize maintenance programs. Support various departments within the Estates team. Review project reports, specifications, and calculations. Manage asbestos compliance and contractor performance. Oversee building repairs, statutory inspections, and remedial works. Address building pathology issues and prepare reports. Ensure safety in Constabulary properties, complying with regulations and policies. Understand customer expectations, maintain client relationships, and communicate project progress effectively. Supervise and mentor colleagues as needed. Assist in hiring and supervising specialist consultants. Collaborate on framework briefs for contractor frameworks and service contracts.
