About the job We are seeking an experienced Procurement Buyer Reporting to the Procurement Manager you will be responsible for the procurement of materials/services for construction projects, fixed offices & all associated activities ensuring compliance with Health, Safety, Environmental & CSR requirements. You will maintain an ethical and consistent approach to procurement in line with our Quality and Commercial Procedures and work closely with all other departments-Estimating, Tendering, Finance, HSQE and IT. Your mission Teaming with Contract and Project managers to deliver their Procurement Schedules within a timely and competitive framework. Delivering savings to the project in both monetary and time terms. Scheduling & prioritizing requisitions and sending out enquiries to suitable suppliers Collating & backssing quotations received ensuring compliance with specifications. Negotiating pricing, payment terms & conditions in line with project budgets. Liaising with site management team to reach collective decisions where necessary Produce and issue Material and Sub contractors Purchase Orders Solving problems (Late deliveries, shortages, quality issues etc. )Managing & updating Supplier Database Ensuring sub contractors are vetted for HSQE guidelines and hold relevant Insurance Coverage for their contracted tasks Sourcing new suppliers and sub contractors for the future growth of Glanua UKProviding SRM and Sub contractor backssment to suitable KPIs Offering site staff alternative materials as appropriate Keep abreast of developments in local and International markets inc benchmarking with other Glanua entities Visit supplier facilities and conduct vendor appraisals Assisting Q. S’s with Subcontract procurement as and when required Ensuring the P2P process in Glanua UK operates effectively. Ensure compliance to Purchasing SOP and custodian of effective use of SAP purchasing tools Who are we looking for? 3rd Level qualification in Procurement. Visit ListedBuy for more information.
