Location: Hendon or Sidcup 3 days in office and 2 days from home Join us in reducing the environmental impact of the UK's largest police service. As an Environment Advisor, you'll be a key member of the Met’s Environment and Sustainability team, making a greener and more sustainable organisation. Your primary task is to deliver our environmental strategy, including the Environmental Management System EMS and Sustainability Management Programme SMP. You'll also oversee sustainability training, monitor the Facilities Management supply chain, and contribute to the Greater London Authority GLA Group Responsible Procurement RP Policy. Your expertise will be highly valuable. Key Responsibilities Implement and develop the MPS’s Environmental Management System EMS aligned with ISO 14001. Coordinate environmental activities across various departments and business groups. Manage the Sustainability Management Programme SMP. Maintain the EMS. Manage the MPS environment and sustainability audit program. Lead the development and implementation of the Greater London Authority GLA Group Responsible Procurement RP Policy. Manage the environmental performance of the FM supply chain. Manage environmental/sustainability training, communications, and awareness. Represent the Metropolitan Police on external stakeholder forums and meetings. Provide support for any other duties as directed by the team lead.
