Job Title: Junior Estimator Location: Leeds Salary: GBP28,000: GBP30,000 As a Junior Estimator, you will be a pivotal member of the team, based in our clients office in Leeds. Your primary responsibilities will include preparing quotes and tenders, assisting Contracts Managers, and ensuring the smooth execution of day: to: day projects. Your role will involve various aspects of project and quotation management, including health and safety compliance, materials procurement, and supplier coordination. Responsibilities: Prepare quotes and tenders for projects up to the value of GBP1 million. Assist Contracts Managers and Project Managers with ad hoc duties. Provide support for various aspects of each project/quotation, including health and safety risk backssments and documentation. Manage databases, keeping track of materials, prices, suppliers, and subcontractors. Collaborate with customers and internal departments to ensure the highest standards are met. Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain quotes and maintain effective communication. Drive continuous improvement in methods and processes for improved quality and efficiency. Demonstrate understanding of Building Regulations and relevant H and S procedures in the building industry (desirable). Requirements: Previous experience as an Estimator. Ideally, hold a building trade qualification or have a minimum of HNC standard education in Construction. Preferred experience in building maintenance. Strong mathematical and IT skills with keen attention to detail and a methodical approach. Effective verbal and written communication skills.
