Quality Inspector Luton Full: time hours: 4 day week Mon: Thurs 7:5.15 The Quality Inspector is an integral part of the Quality team, responsible for ensuring that products meet defined quality standards, tolerances applied and customer expectations. The quality inspectors responsibilities will include the inspection of incoming materials, manufactured tools, prototype samples and ISIR samples. Troubleshooting and determining corrective actions to resolve issues and meet established quality standards. What you will do: Generating Measurement reports for samples, new parts, prototype parts or tooling as required. Accurate recording of faults, Investigate and determining causes of them for resolution ensuring products meet the customers expectations and requirements. Ensure processes conform to ISO 9001:2015 standards to ensure full integration into the business quality management system Ensure focus on health and safety using PPE is maintained whilst conducting given tasks Support in PDI and BIQ quality processes Participate in drive forward Continuous Improvement initiatives where required. ISIR reports completion dates are met, annual validation inspection completed on time to a schedule. Number of open quality issues are resolved and kept to an acceptable level using the Romer Arm measurement machine (PCDMIS Software) Essential requirements: Minimum of 2 years experience in a quality related function or similar from an engineering background. Ability to understand customer drawings, specifications and tolerance requirements Excellent communication skills both verbally and written. Organised and self: disciplined, able to work on their own initiative and fit into a small team Ability to think quickly and solve problems and prioritise work. Desirable requirements: Experienced use of Romer Measurement Arm (or Faro Arm measurement equipment) using PCDMIS Software An understanding of PPAP, NPI and Core tools such as 8D Understanding of.
