If so, we are looking for a Transport Operations Manager to join us, on a full time, permanent basis, to be based out of the Motherwell site managing our Wolseley contract. Pay, benefits and more: The salary on offer will be up to GBP 40,000. We also offer 25 days' holiday (including bank holidays), as well as the option to buy additional days. What you'll do on a typical day: : Take full operational accountability and responsibility for your site, effectively managing your time to ensure a safe and efficient service: As a true people manager, you will focus on ensuring that your colleagues receive the right level of support, coaching and development: Manage the relationship between XPO and our customers, constantly communicating across various stakeholders: Ensure that all teams are aligned, operating to XPO standard policies and procedures: Support the Contract Manager with adherence to all compliance and legal obligations with a huge emphasis on safety, deputising in their absence: Assist with executing the daily plan for all deliveries and collections, with a keen eye on resource available at site and keep the customer updated: Working closely with the onsite customer on a day: to: day basis, you'll support with period reviews and customer presentation in the contract managers absence. : Provide leadership and guidance for your team to enable them to meet objectives, encouraging open communication What you need to succeed at XPO: : Ideally, you'll already be a Transport Manager or have Transport experience in a.
