HGV Mechanic, HGV Technician, Trailer Technician, HGV Fitter, HGV, Technician, Mechanic, Trailer HGV Mechanic / Technician MOT & Fitter Location: Chichester, West Susinteraction Salary: £35k - £40k per year + Excellent Benefits Full Time, Permanent, 45 hours, Monday - Friday The Client: Our client is a renowned family-owned Timber and Builders Merchant with multiple branches offering a comprehensive range of building materials, including timber, insulation, kitchens, and more. They provide valuable services such as brick matching, landscape design, and expert advice for your building projects. The Role: They are seeking an HGV Mechanic/Technician for their purpose-built workshop. Your primary responsibility is to repair and maintain HGV vehicles. This includes MOT inspections, servicing, body repairs, and basic fault finding. This is a role. Responsibilities: Perform MOT inspections and repairs Transport. Conduct standard vehicle/equipment inspections, services, and repairs. Independently handle site breakdowns and efficiently manage repairs. Complete accurate paperwork and maintain records. Adhere to Health and Safety policies and guidance. Employ safe working methods. Requirements: At least 1 year experience working as HGV technician, HGV Mechanic, HGV Fitter or in a similar role. Experienced fitter with chassis and MOT preparation proficiency. Familiarity with DVSA standards. Familiarity with vehicle inspection standards and scheduled maintenance. Prior HGV experience, with optional basic welding, hydraulic, and auto electrical skills. desirable Preferred to have HGV Licence Cat C & C+E.
