The role of Senior Supplier Quality Engineer is a new role within our organisation but key to ensuring our expanding business has the right selection and monitoring activities taking place monitoring our supplier performance and using quality assurance methodology to ensure any weaknesses are addressed and performance is managed. This role sits within Marshall Land Systems with a Global focus with our Canadian as well as our UK Operation. Why join Marshall in this role? This is a new role within an expanding business, you will be responsible to develop the approach for the business and implement it to improve the supplier selection and monitoring activities. As the business grows so will the supplier base and could see the successful candidate grow a team around them. Key responsibilities in this role are: Conduct backssments of suppliers operation processes, procedures and performance in an unequivocal way, along with backssing their capacity and capabilities. Establish and maintain a Supplier Monitoring programme based on a business risk backssment approach. Identify improvement opportunities and develop supplier improvement plans to address identified weaknesses, providing status reports to both supplier and MLS management, following up on agreed actions to ensure they have been implemented effectively. Monitor the Quality of product output from key strategic suppliers to establish that they meet the required standards. Visiting supplier facilities and observing the manufacturing environment to review and backss their procedures and working practices. Performing regular quality control audits and full capability backssments to ensure vendors continue to work in compliance with their company and country specific standards. Provide clear and concise reports on a Suppliers capabilities and communicate any recommended actions.
