The Chief Sub, Politics, will become a key part of the digital team within the Sky News politics unit, working closely with the Assistant Editor and reporters in Westminster as well as the wider online operation in our Osterley headquarters. What you'll do: Ensure political content is sold well in headlines on the app and website. Sub, publish and curate content for the Politics Hub Coordinate digital coverage of the nightly TV show 'Politics Hub with Sophy Ridge'Work with the wider political unit to ensure fast and accurate handling of breaking news What you'll bring: At least three years' experience working in a busy national newsroom. Excellent news judgement and demonstrable enthusiasm and knowledge of UK politics. Significant subbing expertise and an ability to master the Sky News style guide. Great communication skills and proven ability to work well in a cross-functional team.
