The Director of Operations will have responsibility for all of the manufacturing, processing, quality, safety, and warehouse functions for the GA production facilities. The GA location was opened 4 four years ago and currently has about 90 employees in a non-union setting and is positioned for significant growth into the future. The successful candidate will be responsible for achieving both short-term and long-term production objectives and establishing strategic manufacturing plans to achieve corporate goals for cost reduction on / a on-time delivery of the product to commercial customers. Additionally, the Director of Operations will develop and execute comprehensive manufacturing plans and programs to support employee engagement, quality, safety, volume, and cost / objectives. He/She must thrive as a hands-on, detail oriented and big picture leader who actively holds self and others accountable while regularly implementing continuous improvement efforts to ensure value.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:The Director of Operations will have leadership responsibility for all production, safety, maintenance, quality and Warehouse within the manufacturing facility. The successful candidate must be adaptable, analytical and innovative in their management approach, plus have the ability to build strong work teams focused on delivering safety and productivity. As a leader, the right individual must be able to give constructive feedback, communicate effectively at all levels, develop strong teams, and reach consensus while always remaining in charge. Additional expectations include:Overseeing all operations of entire facilityAchieve Financial goals (labor, waste, & supplies) while maintaining a safe & hygienic working environmentAchieve 99.5% case fill rate, on-time, by achieving daily/weekly Production attainment goalsEnsures established production schedules are achieved which most effectively utilize our people/process and equipment, while maintaining serviceEnsure product is being produced at the highest quality standards to provide superior satisfaction to CustomersLead in the readiness of all Quality Audit and Customer visitsCommunicate and coordinate production requirements and performance with contracted maintenance and sanitation departments, to maximize line efficiency and minimize downtimeImplement Continuous Improvement manufacturing tactics and actions for the accomplishment of plant production and warehousing goals.Institute workaround/contingency plans on running production if mechanical downtime occurs.Maintain good working relationships with internal customers (Sales, Finance, Executives, etc.)Responsible for training, selecting, and motivating Plant Supervision and hourly workforce.Makes sure new policies and programs are being followed.Ensures proper documentation and records are maintained in accordance to established company or plant requirements, including downtime collection, batching data, & training documentationLead rigor on Daily and Weekly meetings with team to review metrics and set actions accordingly3-5 Direct ReportsBe champion for coaching, development, and accountability of all levels of team members in the PlantOther tasks and projects may be assigned.LEADERSHIP/PERSONALITY TRAITS: --Exude a positive, can-do, and collaborative attitude--Honest, hard-working, high-Integrity, and humbleAbility to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization and drive change.Sound judgment & Decision-making skillsAssertive but RespectfulSelf-driven, servant leaderSense of urgency and a bias for action, goal-orientedStrong interpersonal & influencing skillsHandle multiple, competing priorities dailyStrong problem-solving and research skillsEmbrace internal and external customer-centricityAnalytical / fact-based / data- drivenCORE COMPETENCIES:--Ability to optimize manual labor output via the following:Workstation Layout optimization (non-CAPEX)SOP Training of hourly workforceExpectation-setting at Front-line Leader (FLL) and hourly-levelTranslating financial & Operational Metrics to FLL and hourly workforcePerformance Management conversations with workforceProvide on-floor DirectionStrong Data Analysis skillsExcellent oral and written communication skillsCan Lead through Visual Management ToolsAbility to navigate through Microsoft Software (Teams, Excel, Power BI, etc.)--Experience in a "Lean Manufacturing" / "Continuous Improvement" environmentUnderstanding of Plant P&L, such as the drivers of labor and material cost/lb.EXPERIENCE:--12+ years of food/beverage manufacturing experience required, with 3+ years in fresh, short shelf-life manufacturing/warehousing leadership experience preferredBS/BA required--Familiarity with applicable government regulations including but not limited to GMPs, HACCP, and USDA regulationsWORK ENVIRONMENT:--50% of work in office setting5-10% Travel--
