The Parts Associate is a self-motivated, skilled individual with strong interpersonal, communication, organizational, and mechanical aptitude. Tasks and responsibilities are performed under the general supervision of the Parts and Fleet Managers. This position requires strong organizational and time management skills, the ability to anticipate department needs and issues, respond with urgency, multi-task, exhibit initiative and good judgment. You will: Work closely with mechanics, project leaders and yard staff in determining part component and job requirements. Ensure procurement timeline is met or exceeded to keep crews working and equipment uptime maximized. Build and maintain relationships with vendors. Order parts and maintain stock areas. Deliver parts to various locations, run errands. Maintain WEX fuel card system and monitor fuel usage. Enter invoices, help schedule preventative maintenance services. Assist Parts Manager and mechanics with technology issues. Assist in keeping Parts Department and maintenance facility clean and orderly. Maintain all equipment lists; time records and expense reporting. Prepare weekly and monthly equipment utilization and work order reports and spreadsheets using Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel and our HCSS system. Management of uniform delivery service. Maintain an organized filing system or the Shop Office. What you need: High school diploma or GED Must be 21 years of age or older and have a valid driver license and a clean driving record Parts counter sales experience is desirable To be successful you: Have a basic knowledge of heavy truck and construction vehicles parts and machinery. Can work autonomously once given instructions. Can work overtime and have flexibility of schedule. Have excellent computer skills and knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel.. Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Will maintain good attendance record. Working Conditions: Work in both office and outdoor environments. Involves frequent lifting and carrying of 25-75 lbs. Work involves interacting with mechanics and the environment they work in.
