Investment Accountant IIThe Investment Accountant II ensures that investment accounting policies and procedures are correctly applied to accounting records. Under general supervision, this job works directly with asset management, portfolio management and acquisition/disposition teams. Key Responsibilities and Duties * May prepare certain SEC filings. * Prepares timely and accurate financial statements including GAAP and/or statutory work papers and supporting schedules to satisfy all investment accounting requirements. * Work directly with auditors to answer audit inquiries, and provide additional documentation as needed to support the completion of annual audits. * Analyzes financial information to ensure compliance with investment accounting policies and procedures. * Calculates performance returns. * Seeks guidance from senior Investment Accountants regarding issues that require more advanced knowledge and experience. * May prepare Funds' shareholder reports and certain support work-papers.Educational Requirements * University (Degree) PreferredWork Experience * 2+ Years Required; 3+ Years PreferredPhysical Requirements * Physical Requirements: Sedentary WorkCareer Level 6ICREQUIRED EXPERIENCE * 2+ years of accounting experience in public accounting, fund accounting, real estate accounting and/or financial statement preparationPREFERRED EXPERIENCE * 3+ years of accounting experience in public accounting, fund accounting, real estate accounting and/or financial statement preparation * CPA license or CPA Candidate * Bachelors Degree in Accounting * Strong proficiency in MS Office: Excel, Word and PowerPoint * Previous experience using Yardi and Workiva * Public Accounting * Real Estate Accounting * Cash Management * Carried Interest AllocationsADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Under the Guidance of the Senior Investment Real Estate Accountant: * Oversee the Fund Admin team to ensure all reporting deadlines are met timely and accurately. * Reviews all legal agreements to ensure accounting structures are setup appropriately. * Prepares and reviews all REIT compliance and tax compliance schedules. * Reviews all Investor agreements to ensure commitments and side letter reporting are setup and accurate. * From time-to-time review and research complex transactions. * Review all debt agreements and ensure debt covenants adhered to#LI-CS1Related SkillsAccountability, Accounting Standards, Business Acumen, Client Relationship Management, Collaboration, Communication, Compliance, Data-Driven Business Intelligence, Due Diligence, Executive Presence, Financial Acumen, Financial Modeling, Financial Risk Management, Financial Statements, Fund Accounting, Market/Industry Dynamics, Stakeholder Engagement, Story TellingAnticipated Posting End Date:2024-06-15Base Pay Range: $29.66/hr. - $48.32/hr.Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location.
