Volt is immediately hiring for Entry-level FIELD SERVICE TECHS in Lake Zurich, IL! If you love working with your hands, installing new equipment, or want to learn how to do this, this position is for you!We are seeking individuals wanting to start a career in field service. Any sort of auto mechanic, HVAC, installation technician, or similar hands on electro-mechanical experience is acceptable and we will train you on our systems and equipment! Get your foot in the door to start your field service career!PERKSCompany vehicleCompany credit card for travelDaily Per diemEssential Functions * Travel to client locations to complete start-ups, preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting. * Install equipment in indoor and outdoor locations. * Provide technical services for customers. * Work with the Project Manager and Engineering toward overall job fulfillment. * Perform startup duties on newly installed systems. * Provide telephone support and troubleshooting of systems in operation in the field. * Provide on-site repairs, maintenance, etc. for systems requiring work in the field. * Provide maintenance services on air pollution control equipment that is currently in operation worldwide. * Timely and accurate completion of all paperwork and electronic entry of documentation associated with position.This is a full time, Direct Hire opportunity.Minimum Education, Skills & Abilities: * High School graduate and at least 1 year of experience in related field. * Mechanical and/or electrical knowledge and technical ability to complete work in an efficient manner. * Math abilities including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and fractions. * Good communication skills including the ability to receive oral and written instruction and provide information to customers, employees and management. * Ability to plan, prioritize and organize work for optimum efficiency and output. * Initiate and utilize good judgment in decision making. * The position requires overnight travel. Travel can be week-long at a time, weekends will be required. 70-80% Travel. * Use of hands 100% of time.
