As the Manufacturing Dealer Design Specialist/Estimator at INTEX Millwork Solutions, a subsidiary of The AZEK Company, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our dealer network by providing comprehensive design solutions and accurate cost estimations for outdoor living projects. Working closely with dealers, contractors, and internal teams, you will leverage your expertise in manufacturing processes, product knowledge, and design principles to deliver exceptional service and support. This position provides timely responses to customer needs and facilitates all aspects of customer contact with INTEX related to their projects. This person is responsible for the success of each project assigned to them from start to finish with Area Sales Manager support, including but not limited to, costing, quality of information, margin performance and close rate. Your primary duties and responsibilities will be: Design Consultation: Collaborate with dealers, contractors, and Area Sales Managers to understand project requirements, preferences, and specifications. Provide expert guidance on product selection, layout, and design principles to optimize outdoor living spaces. Custom Solutions: Develop customized design proposals and solutions tailored to the unique needs of each project. Utilize CAD software and other design tools to create detailed plans, renderings, and visualizations for client review and approval. Estimation: Accurately estimate material quantities, labor costs, and project timelines based on project specifications and design plans. Coordinate with internal departments to obtain pricing and availability information for products and materials. Technical Support: Serve as a technical resource for dealers, contractors, and internal teams regarding product specifications, installation techniques, and industry best practices. Address inquiries, resolve technical issues, and provide ongoing support throughout the project lifecycle. Relationship Management: Cultivate strong relationships with both internal and external customers. Internally, collaborate effectively with engineering and production to make final decisions. Externally, build/maintain strong partnerships with dealers and contractors to foster loyalty and drive business growth. Act as a trusted advisor, offering proactive recommendations, training, and support to enhance their success with INTEX products. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process optimization, product innovation, and service enhancement to maintain our competitive edge in the market, as well as complete project work as assigned during company's slower season. We believe the successful candidate will have: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent field experience related to manufacturing, building materials industry, with a focus on drafting, design, estimation, and project management. 2-4 years Construction/Manufacturing experience required. 2-4 years CAD/Drafting experience required. Core Competencies: Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit) and other design tools. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadline in a fast-paced environment. Willingness to travel occasionally to visit job sites or attend trade shows. Can navigate multiple applications/screens and research solutions. This would include navigating multiple computer systems and platforms. Success Measures : Ninety (90) days: Understanding INTEX Products & Capabilities Fully Quote takeout using Standard INTEX Products Working Knowledge of Estimating Software (Standard Items) Six (6) Months: Ability to assist customers with Product info, Design Help, installation questions Knowledge to Quote Standard/ "Custom Products" - Through Estimating Software Understand Workflow through department and Production Cells One (1) year: Ability to Quote Full Custom Products Total Knowledge of all INTEX Products, Estimating Standards & Company Resources Total Confidence in working with Customers on all levels (Design Help, Estimating, Installation & product issues) The AZEK Company is a $1 Billion and growing industry-leading manufacturer of beautiful, low-maintenance, and environmentally sustainable building products, with a focus on decking and outdoor living. The annual salary for this position ranges from $58,500 in our lowest market up to $70,500 in our highest market, plus bonus, and benefits.
