Job Summary Standard Chartered Bank are currently looking to recruit a Head of Conduct and Control to join our team and help drive our non-financial risk management efforts to the next level. The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing a well built conduct and control framework to ensure effective risk identification, assessment, remediation, governance, and control effectiveness. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement a culture-oriented framework that embeds a conduct and control mindset throughout the business, including in hiring, appraisals, and promotion of staff with a demonstrated commitment to promoting diversity and inclusivity. Enhance the control framework across the Americas perimeter in line with global and central frameworks. Ensure proper oversight of regulatory, conduct, and control matters, including all remediation plans across the Americas platform. Facilitate relevant governance bodies on the topics of conduct, operational controls, and regulatory compliance. Demonstrate awareness and understanding of the wider business, economic and market environment in which the Group operates, and solid understanding of CCIB Americas clients and business products. What you'll be doing: Lead the NFR team to achieve the outcomes set out in the Bank's Conduct Principles: Fair Outcomes for Clients; Effective Financial Markets; Financial Crime Compliance; The Right Environment. Design, implement and maintain the NFR and Conduct risk report for CCIBRC while demonstrating awareness and understanding of the wider business. Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters. Keep abreast of industry trends and regulatory impacts and ensure the CCIB Americas appropriately anticipates and adapts to address future developments. Partner with CCIB Americas business leaders and Risk MT members to distil strategic objectives into concrete actions and plans, to enable the business to satisfy is risk and regulatory requirements efficiently and effectively. Responsible for maintaining a strong and appropriate first line risk and risk conduct environment across the business Flexible and hybrid work is available for this role.Expected annual base pay range for the role is $177,232 - $250,000. The final offer will be determined on an individualised basis using a number of variables, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience and education, internal relativity, and specific work location.
