Since its founding in 1903, MAB Community Services (MAB), a multi-faceted not-for-profit organization that operates The Massachusetts Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired (MABVI), MAB Adult Disability Services, and The Ivy Street School has been dedicated to the inclusion of individuals with disabilities in their communities. Headquartered in Brookline, Massachusetts, this internationally renowned residential community and services provider supports over 1,500 individuals with visual impairment, neurodiverse learners, and intellectual and developmental disabilities. With the upcoming retirement of Barbara Salisbury, who has led MAB for 18 years through a period of unprecedented growth, the MAB Board has embarked on a national search to identify a proven and passionate leader to serve as MAB's new Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Under Ms. Salisbury's leadership, MAB grew more than fivefold in the last two decades. Today, it is viewed as an industry leader and advocate for disability rights, operating with an over $50 million budget and over 600 employees.The Board seeks an accomplished leader with significant experience in successfully leading a complex agency through uncertain political and fiscal times. Experience working with multiple Massachusetts state agencies would be highly desirable. This is a unique opportunity for a proven leader to step into the CEO role for an organization with a proud history and recognition for its high quality, compassionate, best-in-class, and client-centered services.
