Grant Manager – Empowering Change through Strategic Fundraising! Status: Non-Exempt, Full-Time with Benefits Reports to: Executive Director Salary: $27.60-$33.53 per hour Location: Oceanside, CA This role is a hybrid position. Our office is based in Southern California, specifically in Oceanside, CA (North San Diego County). It is located inside a military base installation. Base access is provided to civilian employees. Summary: Are you a strategic thinker with a passion for securing funding that drives meaningful change? We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Grant Manager to join our team and play a crucial role in advancing our mission. Who you are: Under the direction of the Executive Director, the Grant Manager will conducting prospect research, developing compelling grant proposals, managing our donor database, and cultivating and stewarding donor relationships. What will you do: Essential Duties and Responsibilities Donor Engagement: Conduct thorough research on individual donors, cultivate relationships, and provide stewardship to enhance donor retention and support.Grant Development: Research, prepare, write, and submit grants for the organization, and coordinate monthly tours.Strategic Planning: Participate in strategic planning, set fundraising goals, and assess fundraising strategies.Budget Management: Collaborate with the Executive Director to create and manage the fundraising budget, establish specific outcomes, and develop an evaluation framework to assess the effectiveness of fundraising initiatives and identify areas for improvement.Community Engagement: Communicate with participants and stakeholders to garner community support. Other Duties and Responsibilities Coordination: Meet monthly with the Executive Director and other staff as needed to discuss planned and completed fund development actions, contacts, and meetings. Ability to collaborate with other development professionals within the Southern California Armed Services YMCA team to create regional proposals for funding.Board Reporting: Prepare a monthly report for Board of Management meetings and attend all Board meetings.Confidentiality: Maintain confidentiality of program and branch information.Data Management: Track donor communications and regularly update and maintain the donor, grants, and contracts database to ensure record accuracy.Reporting: Create customized reports as needed.Additional Duties: Perform all other duties as assigned. What experience and skills you will need to be successful: Education & Experience · Bachelor's Degree in business administration or a related field is required.· Four years of related experience, including knowledge of long-range planning, annual giving, foundation/corporate solicitations, sales, management, and communications is preferred.· Proficient knowledge of nonprofit organizational practices· Experience with budgeting and fund development. Skills · Excellent verbal, written, and public speaking skills.· Highly developed interpersonal skills with the ability to meet with people with ease.· Strong organizational skills, well-disciplined, and able to work under pressure with tight deadlines.· Accurate and detail-oriented with strong time management skills and the ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.· Proven track record of success in similar roles. Physical, Mental & Environmental Requirements · Work in an office setting but get ready for occasional travel within San Diego County.· Ability to sit for prolonged periods and lift objects up to 40 pounds, showcasing your versatility.
