Job Description: As a Communications Engineer at Cloud Computing Technologies, you will be responsible for the design, installation, and maintenance of communication systems, including fiber optics, telephony, CCTV, alarm systems, and LAN/WAN infrastructure. You will work with both multi-mode (MM) and single-mode (SM) fiber optics, utilizing various connector types such as ST, SC, and MTRJ. Your expertise in fiber testing, MDF and IDF closet setup, reading blueprints, and creating as-builds will be crucial in delivering high-quality communication solutions. Responsibilities and Duties: Design, install, and maintain fiber optic networks, including MM and SM fiber. Perform fiber testing and troubleshooting to ensure optimal network performance. Set up and manage MDF (Main Distribution Frame) and IDF (Intermediate Distribution Frame) closets. Read and interpret blueprints and create as-built documentation. Manage underground cable plant installations and maintenance. Execute moves, adds, and changes (MAC) for communication systems. Install and maintain telephony systems, CCTV, and alarm systems. Design and maintain LAN and WAN infrastructure to support enterprise communication needs. Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations in all installations and maintenance activities. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand communication requirements and provide effective solutions. Provide technical support and training to team members and clients as needed. Qualifications and Skills: Certification or training in Telecommunications, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in communications engineering, with a focus on fiber optics and network infrastructure. Proficiency with MM and SM fiber optics, including connector types such as ST, SC, and MTRJ. Experience with fiber testing and troubleshooting tools and techniques. Strong knowledge of MDF and IDF closet setup and management. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and create as-built documentation. Experience with inside and outside cable plant installations and maintenance. Proficiency in telephony systems, CCTV, alarm systems, and LAN/WAN infrastructure. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and in a team environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
