About Us: JetPens is an online retailer, specializing in premium writing instruments and office supplies. We have been featured in Wired, New York Times, and CNBC. Role: We are looking for a full-time on-site merchandiser to support both the Merchandising Team and the Marketing Team. This is a great job for problem-solvers with a strong affinity to numbers, deep knowledge of stationery, and good visual communication skills suitable for an e-commerce shop. Build relationships with suppliers and negotiate with them for the best pricing and supply chain solutions. Arrange transport of goods and support customs clearance to ensure timely receipt. Analyze market trends and apply this knowledge to make insightful buying decisions. Coordinate with receiving, fulfillment, customer service, and marketing teams as required. Assess quality of stock received and escalate any discrepancies to suppliers and management. Use product knowledge to support product content creation and correction for JetPens website and various media platforms. Travel to trade shows both domestic and abroad. Requirements: BA/BS degree. Excellent computer skills (especially with Excel or Google Sheets). Critical thinking and negotiation skills. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal. Good visual design sensibilities. Basic understanding of inventory accounting principles and practices. Passion for stationery. Bonus Points: Relevant purchasing or merchandising experience preferred. Japanese or Korean language fluency. Previous product photography experience. Experience with Google Workspace applications. Experience with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and Premiere or Premiere Rush. Experience with content creation for social media platforms. Bonus Points: This is a full-time on-site position. Compensation: Starting rate: $20-$22 / hour, DOE. Pay range: $20-$28 / hour. Full-time start, with a 2-month waiting period for health benefits.
