Practice Area: Litigation - Commercial, Job Type: Attorney, Firm Type: Law Firm, Experience: 10 Years, A law firm in Cleveland, OH, is seeking a Litigation Of Counsel with 10+ years of experience in complex commercial and civil litigation. The ideal candidate will have strong complex commercial litigation experience working in a multinational large law firm. They will manage all aspects of complex commercial litigation through trial, leveraging their strong research, writing, and analytical skills. Responsibilities include drafting pleadings and discovery requests, taking and defending depositions, conducting legal research, writing persuasive motions, managing document production, developing winning litigation strategies, attending mediation, and negotiating favorable resolutions. The candidate must have excellent research, writing, and analytical skills, strong deposition skills, exceptional oral and written advocacy skills, and excellent communication skills. Admission to the Ohio Bar and excellent academic credentials are required, and a portable book of business is a plus. Duties:Manage all aspects of complex commercial litigation through trial.Draft pleadings and discovery requests.Take and defend depositions, crafting effective deposition outlines and summaries.Conduct legal research and write persuasive motions, arguing them confidently before courts.Manage document production and effectively handle all phases of discovery.Develop and implement winning litigation strategies through outstanding written and oral advocacy skills.Attend mediation, prepare mediation briefs, and negotiate favorable resolutions.Collaborate with colleagues and experts to achieve the best possible outcome for clients.Manage caseload, deadlines, and priorities with a driven and motivated work ethic. Requirements:10+ years of experience in complex commercial and civil litigation.Strong complex commercial litigation experience in a multinational large law firm.Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills.Strong deposition skills.Exceptional oral and written advocacy skills.Excellent communication skills.Admission to the Ohio Bar.Excellent academic credentials.Portable book of business is a plus. Education:Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school. Certifications:Admission to the Ohio Bar. Skills:Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.Exceptional oral and written advocacy skills.Strong deposition skills.Excellent communication and collaboration skills.Ability to manage caseload, deadlines, and priorities effectively.
