Job Overview:Play a pivotal role in advising clients on matters related to foreign investment and national security.Provide legal guidance on CFIUS (Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States) and sanctions compliance.Collaborate with experienced attorneys to navigate complex regulatory frameworks and ensure client compliance. Duties:Conduct legal research and analysis on matters related to foreign investment, national security, and economic sanctions.Assist in the preparation and submission of CFIUS filings and responses to government inquiries.Advise clients on compliance with international trade regulations and economic sanctions programs.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess potential national security risks associated with foreign investments and transactions. Requirements:2-5 years of relevant legal experience, including work with CFIUS and/or sanctions.Strong understanding of national security laws, regulations, and procedures.Familiarity with international trade laws, export controls, and economic sanctions regimes.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Certifications:Admission to the District of Columbia Bar (or willingness to become admitted). Skills:Proficiency in legal research tools and databases.Attention to detail and accuracy in document review and analysis.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Ability to communicate complex legal concepts effectively to clients and colleagues.Flexibility and adaptability to handle evolving regulatory requirements and client needs.
