Join a multi-disciplinary environmental / health & safety consultancy, working within the sustainable development sphere. The team are looking to bring aboard an experienced Principal Flood Risk & Drainage Consultant to head up the already established Flood Risk team. The role: Our client is looking to secure a Principal Consultant to undertake the management responsibilities of a successful team. You will be tasked with conducting both interpretive and factual inputs across a variety of projects. Management of subcontractors, planning and delivery of tasks, alongside data backssment, report review and approvals, will all be regularly expected. Primarily remote, with visits to either the Manchester, Leeds or London office expected on occasion. Expectations: Conduct flood risk backssments, review / approval of reports, budget writing and appraisal Drainage calculations and concept drainage plans with use of Micro Drainage and Auto Cad EIA’s: Completion of Flood Risk and Hydrology Chapters Flood Risk Appraisals for an array of clients Mentoring and Managements of junior staff and other team members Qualifications/Requirements: 5 years’ experience within Flood Risk & Drainage consultancy Familiarity winning work and conducting business development. Experience working on Planning / Town Planning projects (highly desirable). Desire to work towards Chartered status / member of professional body a valuable asset (non-essential). Expert use of Micro Drainage, Auto Cad, GIS (QGIS preferable) Rewards / Benefits: 29 days annual leave + bank holidays.
