Summary The MacDougald lab is recruiting a researcher and lab manager. This individual will help manage several colonies of mice and perform routine analyses of metabolism and gene expression. In addition to ordering supplies and lab administration, this person will provide technical support for students and postdoctoral fellows. The analyses will include histology, genotyping, dissections, metabolic measurements and much more. Eventually supervise undergraduate students Required Qualifications* Bachelor's degree with 1 to 20 years of experience welcome to apply. Position offered with be commensurate with qualifications. Research Lab Tech Associate: HS Diploma or Assoc Degree and 0-1 years' experience required. Research Lab Tech Intermediate: HS Diploma or Assoc Degree and 1-3 years' experience required. Research Lab Tech Senior: Bachelor's Degree in Cell Biology/Biochemistry/ Physiology and 1-2 years' experience required. Underfill Statement This position may be underfilled at a lower classification depending on the qualifications of the selected candidate. Background Screening Michigan Medicine conducts background screening and pre-employment drug testing on job candidates upon acceptance of a contingent job offer and may use a third party administrator to conduct background screenings.
