Strong writing and research skills, excellent academic credentials, and admission to the Virginia bar are required. Job Overview:The Mid-level Financial Services and Securities Enforcement Associate Attorney will be responsible for handling a variety of financial services litigation matters, with a focus on securities enforcement. The role will involve representing clients in regulatory investigations, enforcement actions, and civil litigation matters. Duties:Represent clients in regulatory investigations and enforcement actions by agencies such as the SEC, FINRA, and CFTC.Conduct legal research and analysis on financial services and securities law issues.Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.Assist with all aspects of discovery, including document review and preparation of discovery requests and responses.Prepare clients for interviews and depositions.Attend court hearings, arbitrations, and settlement conferences.Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and regulatory agencies.Assist in developing case strategy and providing legal advice to clients.Collaborate with senior attorneys and partners on complex litigation matters.Stay updated on developments in financial services and securities law. Requirements:4-6 years of financial services litigation experience.Admission to the Virginia bar.Experience in the financial services industry preferred.Court experience and judicial law clerk experience considered a plus. Education:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Certifications:Admission to the Virginia Bar. Skills:Strong writing and research skills.Analytical and problem-solving abilities.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Attention to detail and accuracy.
