Flat Rigger - Day Shift

Quanex is looking for a Flat Rigger to join our team located in Chehalis, WA. The Flat Rigger is responsible for working cooperatively with team members to cut and assemble window screen frames to changing specifications, using a computer-driven measuring device. This positions schedule will be from 5:30 AM - 2:00 PM. We Offer You! What Success Looks Like: This description represents the most significant job duties but does not exclude other work duties that may be assigned as needed. Follows all safety procedures, rules, and guidelines; and notifies the supervisor of any existing or potential safety issues. Read build instructions from computer monitor ensuring proper length, type and color of materials. Eventual cross training to ensure proficiency in neighboring positions. Visually inspect for defects or errors throughout process. Verify size, color, customer, configuration (hardware), according to labeling system. Insure standard work adherence. Apply labels to frame upon completion. Sequence into rack for next step (screen rolling). Follows all standard operating procedures and notifies the supervisor of potential procedural improvements. Meet or exceed the production standards for the position. Perform related work as required. Help out in other areas with production, inspection, repair or other duties as assigned. Cooperates with and supports co-workers and gets involved as a team player. What You Bring: High school diploma, GED or equivalent combination of education and experience At least 6 months of production, assembly or related work experience preferred Manual/finger dexterity skills Ability to use hand tools including tape measure air drill, pneumatics fixed straight-cut saw Ability to follow both written and verbal directions.
