Description:

Senior Software Engineer, Data Infrastructure Match Group LLC (Dallas, TX) Multiple positions available. Collaborate with engineers in conceptualizing, planning and executingmedium-sized data engineering initiative working with a variety of stakeholders. Work with internalengineering and product teams to identify opportunities for improvements or feature enhancements to ourdata platforms and to improve overall engineering efficiency. Work on pipelines ingesting data greaterthan 1gb per second. Design and build data platforms and frameworks for processing high volumes ofdata, in real time as well as batch, that will be used across engineering teams. Drive self-time capabilitiesfor the engineering teams to easily onboard their critical data workloads onto our platforms. Use strongcommunication skills (written and verbal) to coordinate with engineering, analytics, and other teams toassess the cost and value of existing and potential projects. Research and evaluate new technologies inthe big data space to guide continuous improvement. Collaborate with multifunctional engineers acrossthe company to help tune the performance of large data applications to drive cost savings. Work oninitiatives to ensure stability, performance and reliability of company's data infrastructure. Position allowstelecommuting from anywhere in the U.S. Salary $160,000 - $265,000 per year. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree or U.S. equivalent in Computer Engineering, SoftwareEngineering, Computer Science and Information Technology, or related field, plus 5 years of professionalexperience as Software Engineer, Software Developer or any position/occupation/job title involving datasoftware engineering. In lieu of a Bachelor's degree plus 5 years of experience, the employer will accept aMaster's degree or U.S. equivalent in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Scienceand Information Technology, or related field, plus 3 years of professional experience as SoftwareEngineer, Software Developer or any position/occupation/job title involving data software engineering. Must also have experience in the following: 3 years of professional experience performing data softwareengineering (including leading and collaborating with Data Infrastructure, Data Engineering and Productteams across web and apps) using Java and Python; 3 years of professional experience working on bigdata systems and projects/products at scale for a global company; 3 years of professional experiencehandling large transaction volumes (at least 1 million transactions per second) of data and performingdata queries using querying languages including SQL, deriving insights from the data, and strategizingfuture roadmap decisions based on those insights; 3 years of professional experience building dataplatforms using cloud native technologies (Docker and Kubernetes); 3 years of professional experienceperforming software engineering practices and employing best practices for the full software developmentlife cycle (including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes,testing, and operations).
