What we are doing differently is educating investors on what fiduciary responsibility really means, at a time when it is more important than ever.DIRECTOR, FINANCIAL PLANNINGThe Director of Financial Planning, a newly created role, will oversee and direct all planning - related client deliverables and lead the daily activities of TMG's financial planning team. This role will be instrumental in building a high-performance team, emphasizing performance development, creating growth opportunities, facilitating knowledge-sharing, and promoting equitable accountability.As the Director of Financial Planning, you'll be responsible for: Provide strategic leadership and direction for TMG's financial planning team, overseeing the hiring, training, and development of team members to ensure a high-performing and cohesive function. Establish clear goals and performance expectations for team members, align individual objectives with departmental and organizational goals, and regularly monitor progress and provide feedback. Serve as a communication intermediary between the financial planning team and other TMG functions. Create financial planning content, oversee regular communications with team members and clients, and coordinate updates to marketing materials. Evaluate, design, and enhance the client experience through strategic initiatives, including building a toolbox of deliverables to complement common financial planning areas. Identify opportunities for process improvements, workflow efficiencies, and technology enhancements to streamline operations and enhance productivity, working closely with stakeholders to implement changes and drive results. Provide guidance and support to team members in navigating complex client situations, offering insights and solutions to effectively address client needs and challenges. Represent the financial planning team in meetings, presentations, and client interactions, demonstrating expertise, professionalism, and a commitment to delivering exceptional service and value to clients.CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTSAs a Tax Associate, you'll be responsible for: A bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, or a related field; an advanced degree or professional certification (CFP, CFA, MBA) is preferred. Minimum of 10+ years of experience in the financial services industry, with at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial role overseeing teams of financial planning professionals within an RIA or wealth management firm. Deep understanding of financial planning principles, investment products, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices. Strong leadership and management skills, with a proven track record of building and developing high-performing teams, fostering a culture of excellence, and driving results. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to inspire, motivate, and influence others, and effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization. Strategic thinker with the ability to translate vision into action, identify opportunities for growth and innovation, and develop and execute plans to achieve organizational objectives. Commitment to continuous learning and professional development, staying updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes. High level of integrity, ethics, and professionalism, with a commitment to acting in the best interests of clients and upholding regulatory standards. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, financial planning software, and CRM systems.
