Join our TEAM today and grow with us.Shipping and Receiving SupervisorPosition Type: Permanent, Full TimeLocation: Greenville, MichiganReports to: Production ManagerMissionAs the Shipping and Receiving Supervisor, you are responsible for all aspects of inbound and outbound freight and small package processing, along with supervising the Shipping Department. Direct and control department activities to ensure product flow Train, cross-train, and coordinate activities of all workers involved in the shipping and receiving process Communicate and instruct effectively, verbally and written, within department Monitor receiving personnel to ensure inbound products are processed according to priority and receipt of all inbound product per company procedure Ensure outbound products are properly packaged to prevent damage and delivered according to customer and company requirements Assist in preparation of shipping documents for outgoing shipments, when needed Coordinate local delivery schedules with company driver, Customer Service and Sales, as required Perform all shipping and receiving functions as needed, including loading, and unloading Participate, and lead when required, claims and damage investigationsRequired SkillsAbility to work on your feet for extended periods of timeThree years minimum experience in shipping and receiving, preferably in a supervision roleExcellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and analytical skills Basic computer proficiency, specifically with Microsoft Office Willingness to operate production equipmentAbility to lift 50 poundsSelf-motivated, positive, and team orientedWhy Join US?At Mersen, we are proud to be drivers of progress and to contribute to tomorrow's world.
