The Campbell Mill plant is 1 million square feet and is home to 7 manufacturing technologies to produce a wide variety of cereal products our customers know and love. Northfield is a town steeped in history, featuring two colleges and the original Ames Mill where the Malt-O-Meal Company got its start.ResponsibilitiesManufacturing Production Worker-Processing Post Consumer Brands has an excellent opportunity for motivated individuals, that can work independently, possessing solid mechanical troubleshooting skills, and strong attention to detail.This full-time position is responsible for operating and monitoring the equipment where raw ingredients are baked, flaked, puffed, cooked, and made into cereal!In this position you will ensure that the line is running correctly while adhering to quality and safety standards. Week two: 2 days off, 2 days on, 3 days off) resulting in built-in overtime pay and having every-other weekend off-work.Pay Rate: $25/hour + $1.50/hour shift differential in recognition of night shiftQualificationsJob Activities & Duties ----Operate, monitor, and change all equipment in the production area by following company procedures while working independently to assure it is running correctly and safely.Perform quality checks on raw ingredients, intermediate and finished productsWork with dry/raw ingredients to create batches and vitamin/slurry mixtureUse high attention to detail when making batches to ensure food safety and limited product waste.Staying on top of batches and ordering ingredientsWorking with heavy equipment such as gun screw, dryer, ingredient mixer, airlocks, couplers, conveyors, blowers, etc.Wet washing/deep cleaning with various chemicalsAssist in troubleshooting equipment issues such as failing bearings, belts, motors, etc.Keep work area clean and orderly, perform sanitation audits and develop action plans to correct problem areas.Perform repairs and preventive maintenance on all related equipment.Record production data required for measuring waste, downtime or production efficiency.Required Education: High School diploma or equivalentRequired Skills & Abilities: ----Ability to learn the operation of a wide range of food processing equipmentAbility to use basic hand toolsStrong ability to troubleshoot mechanical issuesGood communication and interpersonal skillsBasic computer skillsAttention to detailAbility to multi-task, organize, and think critically through a variety of problemsPreferred (not required) Experience & Skills Experience working in construction, farming, manufacturing, or mechanical profession.At Post Consumer Brands we are dedicated to cultivating a workplace that values diversity, promotes equity, and ensures inclusion for all.
