Job Description The Companion Animal (CA) Business unit leads strategy development and execution across markets throughout the world. It drives global marketing strategies and activities to drive successful key company CA launches and maximizes the value of in-line products. Our company's Animal Health has a very robust pipeline of new products and initiatives providing customer benefits and driving business growth . A range of our current portfolio are leaders within their respective categories in the Companion Animal health market.In this new position, the Director, Veterinary Marketing develops the communications plans and manages creative development process for tactics targeted for the audience. The incumbent will aim at providing and capturing the most value of launches at customer level. Efforts are aligned with strategic guidance set at franchise level integrating region/key market needs with the Regional Directors to execute tactics to pet owners and influencers.You will have responsibility to direct and create the cross-portfolio marketing campaigns to Veterinary audiences and channel partners to be implemented within regions and key markets through digital, traditional, and face-to-face deployment. The incumbent will bring proven marketing communications, business, and selling experience to influence target audience behavior by leveraging key customer learnings to build a customer centric experience and ensure successful global strategic launches of major new innovative products and cross portfolio initiatives. Incumbent will aim at providing assets and tools to capture the most value of launches at customer level.This position will also support the activities aiming at providing one integrated approach of our portfolio including Bio Pharma and Technology solutions.The Director, Veterinary Marketing, reports directly to the Executive Director, Global Customer Marketing & Commercial Execution and supports the implementation of multi-million dollar marketing campaigns across the globeThis position is an essential interacting and influencing at all levels of the company as needed (including Senior Executives) to ensure optimized and successful Companion Animal strategic launches. Primary Activities: Drive a successful marketing tactics for major product launches with clear and aligned objectives and success metrics, differentiated product positioning and a solid launch plan.Accountable to direct and develop communications and tactical marketing plans for communications B2B activities including digital media, sales aids, conferences, etc.Sets goals, defines tactics, and develops content for assets & tools for executing campaign initiatives to veterinary audiences and channel partners by field representatives.Communicate, collaborate, and align actions with key stakeholders to align the organization on core marketing launch tactics and address local launch and post-launch needs.Provide project team leadership to ensure successful implementation to support product launches throughout the world.Collaborate closely with marketing franchises, regional marketing and digital enablement to provide impactful materials for regional/market deployment and closed loop marketing processes.Lead veterinary and customer marketing initiatives to educate and build to impact behaviorWork with the Technical colleagues to define overall strategy including KOL to support key messages, especially for new product launches.Use data platforms and products to drive iterative change as necessary to drive measurable results.Orchestrate Veterinary monitoring processes to track implementation of key launches and solve conflictive situations.Lead Global omnichannel strategy and high-level journeys targeting pet Veterinarians and channel partners.Drive the creation of campaign assets, in coordination with franchise marketing strategies and regional/key market input.Collaborate with market to develop plans to target communication at different stage of the brand funnel and adapting for different customer segments.Work with the Digital enablement teams to develop detailed execution journeys and omnichannel operational strategy to reach identified targets.Develop launch campaign communications assets based on marketing franchise campaign and key messages to optimize marketing resources and implementation flow.Direct communications agencies and lead the content development to differentiate our brands.Provide team leadership to ensure successful implementation of targeted initiatives throughout the world.Orchestrate Veterinary and Channel monitoring processes to track implementation of key launches and solve conflictive situations. Education Bachelor's Degree; Preferred: Master's Degree, MBA or Advanced degree in marketing, advertising, sales communications, or promotion. Required experience & Skills: Minimum of 10 years of broad work experience in marketing (communications, brand, product, channel, operational) and related sales support activitiesB2B and B2B2C marketing, sales, and business experience to influence marketing and sales team members throughout the world is essential.Strong life science, Veterinary medicine, animal science, and/or medical marketing experience is highly preferred.Successful track record to create the best performing tactical B2B and B2B2C communication initiatives targeting medical professionals and consumers.Proven leadership and marketing experience of global successful product launches with measured results with set of clear metricsDemonstrated management of A&P budgets supporting across multiple initiatives.Digital marketing acumen and experience especially in lead generation and conversion.Excellent ability to manage workflow with regional and local markets.Familiarity of the Animal Health industry or related industry, marketing, and commercial Operations.People management experience preferred.Experience in creating, defining, and leveraging segmentation, positioning, messaging, go-to-market, and lifecycle strategies based on market research, competitive analysis, and an unwavering focus on the customer.Managing and executing the product and launch communication plans to drive revenue.Monitoring performance metrics that yield improved performance including revenue, pricing, forecasting, sales cycle, markets, and sales opportunity targets.Interpersonal skills that will help in developing and building strong internal and external relationships with key stakeholders to collaborate and drive results for business unit.Ability to challenge and drive the organization towards the success of a project.Ability to work in matrix organization and work with people across multiple time zones, functions, and locations.Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.Good coach, and collaborator with the ability to develop high quality working relationships both internally and externally.Able to travel up to 20% of time including to different countries.
