Stone & Tile Design Assistant We are looking for a results-driven Design Assistant at Da Vinci Marble San Carlos showroom to support our senior designers/salespeople. The Assistant will also support the tile and stone designers by attending design sessions with clients, taking detailed notes, and following up with questions, product holds, inventory requests/product availability, and quotes. With time and training, the successful Assistant will have the ability to answer product-related questions and recommend appropriate stone and tile solutions on their own. This position provides great training and experience to get to the next level in design. The successful Assistant must be up-to-date with the vendors featured at Da Vinci (we will provide the training), committed to maintaining our showroom's beautiful visual appearance, and passionate about delighting customers from the moment they walk through the door to when they install our materials. In a nutshell, the duties of an Assistant are to help fulfill a customer's dream for their home. If you love residential design and delivering exceptional customer service at every stage in the buying cycle, this is a great job for you! Responsibilities • Ask qualifying questions to clients to ensure the appropriate resources are assigned to help the customers • Provide product information to clients as needed, including samples, tear sheets, and product information • Learn product lines and specifications by gaining knowledge of all of our vendors offerings • Become familiar with showroom layout, wall displays and floor pads • Learn and familiarize yourself with internal systems and be able to create quotes, invoices, and handle merchandise returns • Work in line with our inventory control procedures • Support senior designers with their accounts by attending client sessions, following up on any open items, handling requests (such as photos of materials, pricing, availability, and lead times) • Build productive trusting relationships with customers Skills • A minimum of two years experience in residential design and/or a high-end, high-touch retail environment with demonstrated success in customer service • Knowledge of kitchen and bath design • Degree or pursuing a degree in interior design The Perks • We cultivate an environment where everyone’s voice is heard • We encourage new ideas for ways to continuously improve • We are a company that prioritizes high quality products and happy customers over anything else.
