This is your opportunity to play a central role in building and operating our state-of-the-art Waste and Waste Water Treatment systems. This includes our environmental compliance systems such as our Water Treatment/Recovery system and our Plating Acid Waste Neutralization system.As a Facilities Water/Waste Water Engineer with a primary focus on system commissioning your responsibilities will include but are not limited to: Operates and maintains water and waste systems including liquid industrial wastewater systems (LIWS) and water treatment/recovery systems (WATR). Owns safety, quality, cost effective output, environmental compliance, capacity management, forecasting, sampling, and analysis of these water and waste water systems. Troubleshoots industrial water and chemical related issues that can impact water quality across any water systems including reverse osmosis (RO), ion exchange, thermal, biological treatment, wastewater, and heat exchangers. Serves as a commissioning coordinator partnering with operations and construction. This position coordinates and supports efforts within the water and waste water disciplines to insure new equipment is constructed and commissioning on schedule. Provides expert interpretation of analytical instruments to determine quality and health of water including ion chromatography, differential microbial analysis (DMA), and particles size and count. Prepares technical reports to present to a wide array of audiences both technical and nontechnical about the initiatives and performance of the water treatment division. Implements novel analysis and new methods to improve result accuracy, turnaround times, and cost and writes and reviews standard operating procedures relating to water and waste water systems. Qualifications You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience would be obtained through a combination of prior education level classes, and current level school classes, projects, research, and relevant previous job and/or internship experience. This position is not eligible for Intel immigration sponsorship. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Chemistry or similar engineering or any science discipline 2+ years of related experience, in chemical processing or manufacturing, ideally water and/or waste water treatment Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Chemistry or similar engineering or any science discipline Advanced knowledge of water treatment operations/equipment/processes, such as ion exchange, biological treatment, hydrofluoric acid treatment and thermal processing 1+ years of experience in commissioning semiconductor facilities equipment Knowledge on related operation design and construction standard practices 1+ years of experience in control systems and instrumentation Inside this Business Group As the world's largest chip manufacturer, Intel strives to make every facet of semiconductor manufacturing state-of-the-art -- from semiconductor process development and manufacturing, through yield improvement to packaging, final test and optimization, and world class Supply Chain and facilities support.
