Payroll Off-Cycle Specialist (Hybrid Work Schedule)

Description:
Responsible for sorting payroll checks, printing mail labels, packaging checks to be mailed, and maintaining record of returned payroll checks in accordance with company policy and applicable laws. Demonstrate the company s core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety. Minimum - Proficient in Microsoft Office - Ability to work both independently and as part of a team - Ability to work within strict time frames/resolute deadlines - Strong attention to detail - Excellent oral/written communication skills Desired - Any payroll systems knowledge and/or experience- Validate payroll check counts requested by payroll department - Print FedEx mailing labels, sort payroll checks, prepare for shipment and meet daily mailing deadlines - Sort and distribute incoming mail to the payroll department - Log all checks returned to Kroger Accounting Services-Hutchinson (KASH) for due diligence compliance - Must be able to perform the essential job functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation
